Don't Abort this Baby (GIFT)!

Pregnant with the gifts of GOD? Sometimes, we are sooooo pregnant with the gifts that God has given us, but we don't know how to get to the delivery room. We fear going to the delivery room because we don't know who is going to assist with the delivery. FEAR NOT!!! There are some things that only GOD can deliver. He wants to be the one to deliver this baby! It's just you and Him! Trust GOD - He delivers...He completes!

DON'T ABORT THIS BABY!!!

There will be no complications! This baby is full term and ready to be delivered. This baby is healthy! It is blessed! It has God's Favor! It was GOD's plan for this baby to be carried by you and delivered from/through you. GOD wants this baby to be born! Inquire of the Lord!!! He has specific instructions for this delivery.
I repeat...DON'T ABORT THIS BABY!!!

Love Me Through?

Sometimes, we go through things. We don't actually know why, but we are in our feelings. When we are in our own heads, what do we really feel? And how do we treat those around us? Do we let them in or do we shut them out? We each have a unique answer. Here's what came to my mind:

There will be days when I am in a bad mood.
Days when I am slightly rude.
There will be times when I am feeling blue and just don't want to be bothered with you.
Days when I feel so sad and everything makes me mad.
Somedays I won't be able to see my way through.
It may be for a day, a month or two.
I may not realize my actions or even care.
But the question is, will you still be there?
We have great times together when I am up!
However, when I'm down, will you still be around?

Although the above may be how we truly feel, let's always seek the Lord in our dealings.

BLESSINGS TO YOU AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!

Treasure Every Moment God Gives You

There were these two swimmers  (Justin and Lawrence) who had been swimming for many years . However, they always swam alone in the shallow end of the pool. They probably logged in 20 hours a week at the pool. One day both swimmers were sitting poolside and began talking. They realized that they had a lot in common and enjoyed talking. So , they decided to meet at the pool the next day and do something different. The two men met at the deep end of the pool and dove in. They figured that they hung out at the pool enough over the past few years to take this plunge together. Besides, if something happened they could save each other from drowning

Their first deep water experience was amazing! Both had been so accustomed to swimming alone that they'd never considered the beauty of having someone to share the experience with. The two continued meeting everyday for a year building a strong friendship and comradery. The meeting was automatic and so was the fun,  The swimmers never thought twice about time or the fact that they were swimming in the deep waters something they'd feared doing alone for years. The two men found that the shared experience rejuvenated them, and gave them a zest for life. There worlds were suddenly enhanced by the addition of the other.

But one day something unexpected happened, Lawrence had a family emergency. For weeks, the two would not be able to meet while Lawrence tended to his family matters. Justin missed his friend tremendously. He offered his support but there was nothing he could do. As the days went by and the distance between them grew, their lives, although still busy seem to miss something. They missed each other but of course, they couldn't dwell on that when they had more serious matters to tend to. Those days that were so joyous before were mere memories. Great memories, memories all the same.

The story of Justin and Lawrence is a reminder to treasure the moments that God gives you with those He sends your way. Love them, learn from them and leave them alone when they need space. Enjoy and be thankful for your time with these precious life changing angels. Uphold them in prayer and pray that God graces you with such great times in your future. But never ever take your time spent in the presence of an angel for granted.

Unconditional Love

I saw the sweetest thing today. This older couple was walking down the sidewalk. The husband pushed his walker as his wife walked closely beside him. They suddenly stopped and the wife whips out a handkerchief, wipes his nose and allowed him to blow. WOW! If you had seen this, it was such a warm sight. However, after the moment, I couldn’t help but think about the germs.

My Husband and I:
At my present age, I’m like “babe, you have something on your nose” or “your nose looks like it is running…here.” He will joke and say, “Get it”! Me: “No, You got it. Handle that!” And I think I love him unconditionally! However, I caught a glimpse of something "super" special.

Revelation:
The deeper revelation for me was this: “Whose germs will you let rub off on you so that you may be more Christlike?” Think about that.

Are we so super clean that we are repulsed by others and their germs (problems).  Are we afraid to be sneezed on or visit someone in the hospital because we don’t want to catch what they have? Do we not befriend people because “they just have too many issues”? However, if we look in the mirror, we have just as many issues or more. Not to mention, if we were tested for germs, we’d find so many that are invisible to the naked eye that we would freak out.

Christ took our dirty sins to the cross because He loves us unconditionally!  Whose germs will you let rub off on you to be more Christlike?

Lord, teach us your ways. Teach us to love one another unconditionally.

Purposeful People

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! As I entered this new year, God had me on MUTE status. There are times when we are called to be quiet. I can't say that I love it, but it's necessary. (LOL) This post is short and sweet. It's meant to make you think about the people in your life. Many of us need to figure out quality versus quantity! Who are the purposeful people in your life?

Here's something to think about:

When you’re walking purposefully with the people God has placed in your life, you can take a long ride and just enjoy being in the presence of PURPOSE.  Or you can take a ride to nowhere, talk about nothing and still be filled with joy. When our creator creates, he approves…he says “IT IS GOOD”!  And when He graces us with that which He created “GOOD”, we can appreciate them provided we know God’s provision over us. Thank God for paying the price that we may share purposeful relationships with His people.

That should get those wheels turning. If people are hanging out in your life causing drama, then do they release you to walk in your purpose? And do you call them a purposeful person as it pertains to your life? Surround yourself with purposeful people! They enhance your life. Here's a magazine to encourage you in your purpose:

BIGGER THAN ME!

It's so funny how sometimes I just don't get it! It takes me a while to grasp certain concepts. You would think that the writing on the wall is clear, but I just don't get it. For that reason, I am so glad that I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He covers me, carries me and reveals to me those things that should be so simple to understand.

Sooooo what am I talking about?

There I was a successful Army Officer when God turned that upside down. You can read more on that in my book:

So, I find myself writing and doing other things as God allows. Now, I know I'm sounding really vague at the moment, but I promise you will get this in the end.

Two weeks ago, I participated in my first blog hop "THE NEXT BIG THING". My instructions were to answer 10 questions, mention the person who got me started and five additional authors with blogs who in turn would do the same. WOW! I found it to be pretty amazing because it was a new adventure. When I was asked, I didn't even have a blog because I was a little afraid. Not sure, I wanted to step up to this "full blown" author journey. I mean...it seems pretty intense!!! However, I managed in what is a very busy family oriented month for me.

After I posted the blog, I reflected upon what I enjoyed most about the experience. I enjoyed posting about fellow authors. Over the last two months, I have read 10 books from other authors. It has been such an enlightening experience. You see, it took me 21 months to write my book and during that time, I didn't read anything other than the Bible or a magazine. Therefore to actually curl up with someone elses work was refreshing.

With that said, I want to dedicate my Wednesday blogs to other authors. This journey that I am on is "NOT" about me or my ability, it is to glorify God. And one way that I can glorify God is to promote others. Here are 5 books that I have read and thoroughly enjoyed. (I included my review.)

YOU MUST READ! This book belongs in every woman's purse. Therefore, every man should buy it for His mother, wife, sister and daughter. It is a great reminder of how we must "Let Go and Let God" in EVERY situation. Two sisters, Haven and Harper learn that lesson. Haven seemed to be a late bloomer; therefore, she gave God a deadline for a mate. Just think about all the times we try and bargain with God only to find out He's really in control. I found myself laughing out loud as well as crying. Norma did an excellent job of connecting me with the characters! There were times when I wanted to put my two cents in. The book is that good! You've got to read this book for yourself!!!

Two young couples competing for a honeymoon? Hmmmm...sounds interesting. When the couple entered the house, I was drawn in with them. I loved the twists and turns that build the suspense. As the story developed, I imagined being there and experiencing the encounters especially with the ghosts. The author did a superb job of provoking my imagination. And just when I was all in, the unimaginable ending came. I suggest this book to anyone looking to add spice to their reading list. This book was short, but well written in that it is an interesting page turner with a strong message.

Pamela delivered an awesome body of work! Through her storytelling skills she showed the power of God's love even in our darkest hour. Melanie had carried around a secret for years, but even in her shame, God was there with her. Not to mention, He had His angels looking out for her. God's love, a spouse's love, a child's love, a friend's love...just LOVE. This book sent such a strong message of love no matter the circumstances. Just love and God loves you through!

When we are NOT in the midst of the storm, we have all the answers. However, when the storm comes our way, we sometimes panic because we don't know what to do or we forget what needs to be done. This book is a great resource to have around. Stressed or not, this book outlines very practical coping techniques that often go overlooked when we are faced with difficult situations. I can appreciate Chere's transparent journey. She walks us through her journey while inspiring us to get smart because STRESS is real. Whether we are stressed or know people that are stressed, this book is extremely helpful. My advice is form a group, get your prayer partner, accountability partner or friend and read this book together. It's worth the read and the investment to be prepared before the storm comes. Get the book and be triumphant!

I read this book to my 3 year old, and we both enjoyed it. I loved the message of hard work, followed by the difference music makes in our lives and lastly minimizing distractions while cooking. All simple messages for kids and great reminders for adults. I WILL PURCHASE THE REST OF THIS SERIES!!!

The message of this blog is simple: Sometimes, we are so caught up in what we are doing that we don't take time to enjoy what God is doing through others. I thank God for revealing to me: No matter what He allows me to do, the mission is BIGGER THAN ME!!!

Lastly, thank you to everyone who loves me, prays for me and supports me. I pray many blessings upon you! Stay encouraged and always remember that the mission is BIGGER THAN YOU.
